Senior Management
James R. Schultz
Chairman of the Board, President & CEO
Jim is the third-generation Schultz to take the helm at Great Lakes Integrated, a company founded by his grandparents Elsie and Joseph Schultz in 1931.
Jim joined GLI in 1971 and has served in a variety of sales and management positions. When Jim's father, George Schultz, retired in 1986 Jim was asked to serve as the company's new Chairman, President and CEO, a position he was proud to accept.
Since that time Jim has done a great deal to preserve and enhance the company's reputation as one of the premier printers in the nation. During his tenure he has also made significant technological advancements and led the company's efforts to offer more diversified graphic communication services.
Throughout his career, Jim has been recognized for his leadership in the industry. In 1997 Jim was inducted to NAPL's Walter E. Soderstrom Society, and the "Printing Industry Hall of Fame. And in 2000, he was named the GATF/NAPL "Sheetfed Executive of the Year."
Joining other members of his distinguished family tree, Jim was inducted into the Hall of Distinction in Cleveland, OH.
Jim is actively involved with a number of professional printing organizations and is the Past Chairman and past member of the Executive Board for the National Association for Printing Leadership (NAPL).
Robert J. Schultz
Executive Vice President and CFO
After graduation from John Carroll University in 1976 with a degree in marketing, Bob Schultz joined GLI as a full-time estimator. While continuing to work full-time, Bob returned to college to obtain his degree in accounting. He currently serves as Executive Vice President and CFO.
Bob is very involved in industry organizations and has held a variety of volunteer and leadership positions. In 1989, Bob joined the Graphics Arts Council and served on the Graphics Committee and Education Committee. Bob served as president of the Graphic Arts Council in 1994 -1995, and was a member of the Board of Directors for six years.
When PIANKO (Printing Industries Association, Inc., serving Northern Kentucky and Ohio) was formed in 1998, Bob became a member of the board and presided over various committees: Membership, Executive, Finance and Nomination. Since 1998, Bob has held several positions with PIANKO such as Treasurer, Vice Chairman and most recently as Chairman in 2002.
With his induction into the Hall of Distinction, Bob joins other members of his family tree. His grandparents and founders of GLI, Elsie & Joseph, were inducted in 1978 & 1986 respectively. His father, George, was inducted in 1983; and Jim, his brother, was inducted ten years later in 1993.
Thomas Schultz
Executive Vice President, Marketing
Tom is a 3rd generation of the family-owned-and-operated company. He has been servicing customers for more than 30 years. Tom is responsible for developing and servicing major corporate accounts. He is a graduate of John Carroll University and serves as President of the Golf Views of Aberdeen Association and Vice President of the Master Association of Aberdeen in Highland Heights. In his free time he enjoys, cars, sailing and golf near his home in Highland Heights with his wife, Beth. They are active members of St. Paschal Church in Highland Heights.
Dean Hanisko
Sr. VP, Corporate Business Development
Formerly GLI's Chief Technology Officer, Dean is now responsible for development of new business opportunities. He has served the company in a variety of capacities, including V.P. of Electronic Services, V.P. of Sales and V.P. of Strategic Development.
Dean pioneered the company's expansion into various electronic services to support graphic artists and designers, including Electronic PrePress systems and processes to optimize the efforts of the client throughout production. With the rapid growth of the Internet, Dean began to expand the company's offerings with services like digital asset management and other Web based applications for clients. These activities eventually led to the rollout of GLI's popular AKSESS® Internet-based solution to create and manage marketing and brand-building assets.
In addition to being a frequent speaker and presenter across the nation on topics relating to technology and its various applications in the Graphic Communications industry, Dean has been very active with a variety of organizations including; the Graphic Arts Council of Cleveland, PIANKO (the Printing Industries Association, Inc., serving Northern Kentucky and Ohio), GATF (the Graphic Arts Technical Foundation), and NAPL (the National Association for Printing Leadership), among others.
Dean has also participated in and supported numerous community organizations, including the Westshore Indian Princesses Organization, Junior Olympic Volleyball, Easter Seals, the Lutheran West Boosters, the North Olmsted Boosters, and he has also sang with and directed church choirs. Dean and his wife of 34 years, Gayle, live in LaGrange and have a grown daughter, Lindsay, who lives in Houston.
Robert Kozel
Chief Technology Officer
As Chief Technology Officer, Kozel leads the software and IT teams. As GLI continues to grow as a leader in delivering marketing solutions through technology, Kozel keeps the company and its clients ahead of the curve. Kozel came to GLI from Progressive Insurance where he served as an Information Technology Manager. He also served as Vice President of Research and Development at Océ Groupware Technology, a division of Océ, a $3.3 billion print and document management company. Kozel earned a B.S. degree from John Carroll University with a double major in mathematics and computer science.
Kostika "Koz" Radivoj
Executive Vice President, Operations
A veteran of the graphic communications industry, Koz is responsible for the day-to-day management of the entire GLI operations staff. Koz has worked at GLI for more than 26 years in a variety of areas including: estimating, customer service, production planning, purchasing, scheduling, and production management. A native of Yugoslavia, Koz came to the U.S. in 1970 at the age of 13, and has a degree in Graphic Communication Management and Technology, he currently resides in Strongsville.
Tony Sanson
Tony joined Great Lakes Integrated over 26 years ago. His areas of responsibility include day to day financial accounting, payroll and all employee benefits. Tony is a graduate of John Carroll University with a major in accounting.
His industry involvement started with the Printing Industries Association of Northern Kentucky and Ohio eighteen years ago. He has also served as a trustee for the Printing Industries Health and Welfare Trust over the last 10 years.
Mike Stewart
Vice President, Distribution & Fulfillment
Mike joined Great Lakes Integrated in 2002 as Warehouse Manager for GLDirect, and became Operations Manager in 2004. He supervises the fulfillment, receiving, shipping, and kit production departments at GLD, which has six supervisors, and 80 full and part time employees. Mike has also been responsible for database administration for internal and external customers as well as facilities planning and maintenance for the division's two buildings which approximate 200,000 sq. ft. He is currently a committee member for MFSA, and is a long standing member of WERC and APICS.
Mike is also currently leading the Continuous Improvement initiatives for Great Lakes Integrated, which includes Lean and 5S training and development, as well as process review and improvement. In June 2009, Mike was named Vice President for the company's fulfillment and distribution operations.
