Great Lakes Integrated Receives 57 Awards for Print Excellence

Great Lakes Integrated (GLI) is honored to receive 57 Print Excellence Awards from the Printing Industries of Ohio – N. Kentucky.

“Our award-winning entries combine the creative talents of our clients and our team’s commitment to quality” said GLI President and CEO James Schultz. “We dedicate ourselves to producing exceptional print materials that help our clients stand out and communicate effectively with their audiences.”

Each year, the Printing Industries of Ohio – N. Kentucky holds its Print Excellence Awards Competition to acknowledge printers that demonstrate excellence in 34 awards categories. This year’s awards drew over 450 total entries. The entries were graded by a panel of three out-of-state expert judges.

Awards were broken down into three categories – Gold, Silver and Bronze. Each Gold award winner in the regional competition is entered for Best of Category and Best of Show awards in an association-wide competition during August 2012 at the Grand Ceremony in Columbus, OH. At last year’s ceremony, Great Lakes received a Best of Northern Ohio Region award in the category of Booklets.

News & Events Ridge Tool Company Honors Great Lakes Integrated for Exceptional On-Time Delivery

Great Lakes Integrated (GLI) was recently honored for its exceptional delivery track record by its long-time client, Ridge Tool Company. In 2011, Great Lakes achieved over 99.1% on-time, in-full and accurate deliveries with Ridge. Over the past five years, Great Lakes has achieved that standard with an on-going rating over 97%.

Great Lakes Integrated Appoints New CFO and Announces Leadership Team Changes

Cleveland, Ohio – March 2012

Great Lakes Integrated (GLI) a Cleveland-based graphic communications and printing company, is pleased to announce the appointment of a new CFO and two changes to the company’s executive leadership team.

David Eckhardt, CPA has joined the company as chief financial officer. Eckhardt brings over 25 years of experience in both private and public accounting, specializing in the manufacturing industry. Before joining Great Lakes Integrated, he served as CFO and controller at Advanced Polymer Coatings in Avon Lake and controller at Q-Lab Corporation in Westlake. Eckhardt is a graduate of Cleveland State University.

Kostika Radivoj has been named executive vice president of sales. Radivoj has worked at Great Lakes Integrated for over 34 years in a variety of areas, including: estimating, customer service, production planning, purchasing, scheduling and most recently held the position of executive vice president of operations. In his new position, he will be responsible for the day-to-day management and business development of the entire Great Lakes Integrated sales’ operations.

Additionally, Robert Schultz has been named executive vice president of operations. Schultz has worked at Great Lakes Integrated for over 35 years. He has served in positions, including: estimating, accounting, CFO and executive vice president. In this new position, he will be responsible for the day-to-day operations, which will include overseeing processes, procedures and standards, as well as leading the continuous improvement initiatives within the company.

Grey Hawk and Great Lakes Integrated team up to help fight two killers

On Saturday, September 18th Grey Hawk Golf Club in Lagrange will host a fundraising event to raise donations for the American Diabetes Association and The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Great Lakes Integrated, a marketing solutions provider, with locations in Cleveland and Avon Lake is sponsoring the event to help raise funds for both charities.

“We know it’s tough out there right now,” said Senior Vice President at Great Lakes Integrated, Dean Hanisko. “So this is one of the ways we can bring a group together and enjoy a day of challenging golf, donate to a good cause and help fight two debilitating diseases. If someone happens to get a birdie in the right place, they’ll have more than a warm feeling to take home as well.”

Great Lakes Integrated provides web based marketing communications systems, print and fulfillment for ADA and LLS. These systems allow each organization to enjoy reduced internal organizational costs, which helps funnel more funds towards finding cures for these diseases. The fundraising is just a little bonus to help fund research and education at both organizations which is where the battle is waged in earnest. Proceeds from the event will be split equally between the two organizations.

Both charities are hosting fund-raising walks on October 2nd 2010.

The company has purchased a Heidelberg Speedmaster XL105 to compliment its current printing capabilities. The 40 inch six-color press with aqueous coater and image control combines the best of form and features. This impressive equipment will provide Great Lakes Integrated customers with substantial increase in speed, efficiency and productivity.

The Heidelberg XL105 was installed and made operational in record time. It was a well orchestrated effort from Heidelberg and Great Lakes Integrated staff throughout the facility. “We strive for unmatched customer service; our clients were well-served during this time of transition. This equipment utilizes numerous innovations never before seen in the industry. When combined with our very experienced press crews the press runs at production speeds of 18,000 sheets per hour in make-ready and running modes. The addition of the Heidelberg XL105 will enable GLI to meet the evolving demand for quicker response time. The press image control system scans the entire press sheet not just the color bars, thus providing instant feedback to the press and maintaining the ultimate press to proof match from initial sign-off to final printed sheet.

The annual PIANKO Print Excellence Awards Competition judges pieces in 34 categories. David Merrick, The Merrick Printing Company; and Richard Presley, Eastman Kodak Company.

Each Gold Award winner will be entered in an association-wide competition for Best of Show and Best of Category prizes to be awarded in June at the Grand Ceremony in Columbus, Ohio.

Industry Ranks GLI with Top Fulfillment Companies Nationwide

Cleveland based Great Lakes Integrated (GLI) has received the prestigious Mailing and Fulfillment Service Associations (MFSA) Accreditation. The accreditation recognizes industry excellence. GLI is only the seventh company nationwide to receive this recognition and the first commercial printer in the nation to receive this coveted award.

MFSA, a national authority on fulfillment services developed the accreditation program after years of research into the best technical and operational practices of fulfillment companies. David A Weaver, President and Chief Executive Officer of MFSA explained, “The accreditation was awarded to GLI following an extensive audit of the company’s operations as well as a comprehensive application process.” The on-site, three day, audit focuses on 14 technical and operational areas and 168 individual criteria including receiving, put-away, order picking, packing, hand assembly, returns, and reporting.
